Skill training program for female students inaugurated by Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner | Gurgaon News

W3- Women Education, Employment and Empowerment – a special skill training program for the students in Govt. Girls College, Sector 14, Gurugram – was launched by Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri on Thursday morning. The program is the brainchild of the DLF Foundation, the philanthropic arm of DLF Group, and has been launched in association with Adhyapann, CII and the Government of Haryana.
At the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri said, “Educating, grooming and empowering the youth is the need of the hour. We appreciate that DLF Foundation in association with Adhyapann, CII and the Government of Haryana has taken this innovative initiative and has planned a holistic intervention. We hope that girl students would be trained as per the industry requirements which will help in shaping bright futures.”
The objective of the program is to equip girls with vocational skills along with the focus on grooming, communication, workplace etiquette and timelines, as well as training in computer graphics, website designing and financial software. By providing hands-on experience, the program will up skill students in accounting and designing software. The program aims to help in empowering these girls with skills necessary for not only employment but necessary for life. It has targetted to train nearly 8000 girls in the college over the next few years.
