ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The goal is to address the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions.
According to the American Psychological Association, women are more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety or depression due to genetic and biological factors.
As big events like senior activities, high school graduations, and college send offs approach, there is a shift in the family dynamic that can create even more stress for moms this time of year.
Dr. Julie Morrison, PhD, with HPA/LiveWell, shares ways moms can overcome this stress and talks about the importance of prioritizing not just your physical health, but your mental health as well.
