StartUP Sault to host annual luncheon celebrating women’s success stories

StartUP Sault Ste. Marie is getting set to host its 6th annual Women’s Success Luncheon event on March 6 at The Machine Shop to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Organizers say it’s a chance to join local leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals to connect and celebrate women in Sault Ste. Marie.

This year’s event features a keynote by Kristina Hudson, owner of Krush Clothing Boutique, speaking about brand building, social media and being true to yourself.

Following the keynote is a panel discussion with local women entrepreneurs and business owners, sharing advice on business, leadership and empowering women including:

  • Kristina Hudson, Owner – Krush Clothing Boutique
  • Jen Kapur, Owner – Laser Advantage
  • Francesca Bruni, Owner – Blade and Ink
  • Channie Ngo, Owner – Sunset Noodle House and Sunset Campground

“We are excited to host our annual Women’s Success Luncheon, providing an opportunity for women in our community to connect, share experiences and support one another,” Holly Infanti, president of StartUP Sault Ste. Marie said in a news release.

“We have a fantastic lineup of speakers and panellists who will be sharing helpful advice and insights. This is a great opportunity to network and come together to celebrate International Women’s Day.”

The event is supported by YNCU, OLG, BDC and Startup Canada’s Startup Women Fund (including UPS and Scotiabank).

Tickets include lunch and refreshments, and a cash bar will be available.

The event takes place March 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Machine Shop (main ballroom) at 83 Huron St. Cost is $20.
