shaping the future of technology

The Women in IT Summit Asia is returning to Singapore this year with a packed agenda of events, speeches, and workshops aimed at creating a supportive environment for women in the technology industry.

This year’s event hosted by DiversityQ and Information Age is being held at the Shangri-la Hotel, and it promises to be one of our biggest and most exciting yet.

On Wednesday, 28 June 2023, we will explore the role of governments across Asia in fostering innovation and technological development, as well as protecting consumers and the public interest.

Delegates will also learn about the latest trends and developments in the tech industry. And how creating a supportive environment and nurturing ecosystem can have a significant impact on the region’s economy and overall societal development.

All things Web3

In addition, a panel entitled: “How are the Metaverse, AR, AI, and Web3 transformations shifting different industries?” will delve into how new technologies are transforming the finance, healthcare, retail, tourism, and manufacturing industries.

AI, blockchain, and other comprehensive ecosystem technologies are helping once framed as ‘traditional industries’ improve their omnichannel strategies and customer engagement.

But is it all tech for good? Delegates will be treated to a lively debate on how useful AI platforms like ChatGPT and Google Bard are. Will they hinder or enhance opportunities for tech professionals? Do they raise ethical concerns or pose a threat to roles? You decide.

Diverse panel of experts

We have lined up a diverse panel of experts, including Anna Gong, CEO and Founder of Perx Technologies, Evelina Lye, Co-Founder of UNTAM3D, and Dr Carol Anne Hargreaves, Director of Data Analytics Consulting Centre at the National University of Singapore. All will share their experience and strategies for future-proofing your tech career in challenging times.

We will explore the challenges women face in achieving gender parity in leadership roles in the tech industry. And look at how companies can create a supportive work environment by implementing policies and programmes driving flexible work arrangements, parental leave, and mentorship.

Women in IT Summit Asia

There’s something for everyone at the Women in IT Summit Asia 2023, including sessions on ageing populations and optimising multigenerational teams, skill building, social mobility, cultural awareness, networking and career path planning.

Budding entrepreneurs can also share their thoughts on boosting representation in the Asian tech industry on the Impactful Ideas Stage. A panel of experts will be on hand to analyse these ideas, with attendees given a chance to vote for their favourite.

Join us for insightful discussions, thought-provoking panels, and invaluable networking opportunities.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Women in IT Summit Asia 2023 on Thursday, 28 June 2023, in Singapore.
