Results of the call for projects for civil society organisations in Serbia: Communication and advocacy initiatives on the Istanbul Convention
The Council of Europe “Ending violence against women: multi-country programme” has finalised the assessment of the call for proposals for civil society organisations (CSOs) in Serbia. The aim of the call aim is to support awareness-raising and advocacy initiatives that promote the values, aims, and provisions of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combatting violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention).
Four Serbian CSOs applied, demonstrating a strong commitment to addressing the violence against women and domestic violence. The Council of Europe selected the awareness-raising initiative of Sloboda Nema Cenu. The project is planned to be implemented from April to December 2024.
The selected project will use the Council of Europe’s Gender Equality Division, Women Against Violence Europe Network (WAVE) and UN Women methodology in running the campaign, adapting the advocacy resources to the needs of Serbia.
