Paris Olympics Day 1 2024 Highlights: Hockey team, Satwik-Chirag off to winning start, Manu reaches final

The second game was a one-sided affair. The brilliant fight in the opening game seems to have sucked the energy out of Ashwini and Tanisha. The Korean pair of Kim and Kang seal the match in Group C in straight games – 21-18, 21-10. 

A good fight from Ashwini and Tanisha, but it was not enough against the Tokyo Olympics bronze medalists. 

Ashwini and Tanisha have another tough test against 4th seeds Nami Matusyama and Chiharu Shida of Japan in Group C.

Only two pairs from the four-team Group C progress to the quarter-final of women’s doubles.
