Med Center Health holds 32nd Women in the Arts exhibit
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health held a preview for their Women in the Arts exhibit Thursday.
This exhibit aims to feature artists from across Kentucky and show the creativity of women.
One piece, known as the Special Purchase, is bought by Med Center Health, who puts it up on their campus to help calm patients.
We spoke to this year’s Special Purchase winner, who told us how much of an impact art has on her and what she does.
“I also do work with Arts for All Kentucky as a roster artist and working with children and just showing them that they can do art… and art is everywhere,” Kim Soule says.
Soule’s painting, titled “Ocean Bloom,” will be on display soon.
Each year, the committee that chooses the pieces shown includes a special juror. This year’s juror was an Associate Professor of Art and Design at Austin Peay State University.
The exhibit is open Friday & Saturday from 11-6 at the Medical Center WKU Health Sciences Complex.
