The Harford Community College Foundation and PK LAW cordially invite you to celebrate the achievements of women in leadership at the upcoming ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast, taking place on March 1 at 7:30 AM at the Richlin Ballroom. This prestigious event recognizes and honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in their careers and actively support the advancement of women in their professional communities.

Hosted by the Harford Community College Foundation, the ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast is affiliated with ATHENA International, a global organization dedicated to empowering women leaders and recognizing their contributions to their communities on a national level. By honoring exceptional women, the ATHENA Leadership Award Program seeks to inspire others to pursue their leadership aspirations and excel in their chosen fields.

ATHENA Leadership Award and ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award recipients have represented a broad range of careers including those in healthcare, marketing, the defense community, local government and banking. This year, an ATHENA Leadership Award will be also be presented to a qualifying organization, which will be awarded the ATHENA Organizational Award.

This year’s keynote speaker, Kelly Schulz, CEO, Maryland Tech Council, is a mother, wife, successful small business owner, and served seven years in Gov. Larry Hogan’s administration as the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Commerce. Kelly is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working within government administrations.

The event proceeds will support the ATHENA Leadership Scholarship, which is awarded to a returning adult student with the potential to become a future leader in their career and community. Scholarships play a crucial role in enabling Harford Community College students to pursue their educational goals and achieve their professional aspirations.

DID YOU KNOW? The Harford Community College Foundation has awarded over $20,000 to HCC students through the ATHENA Leadership Scholarship. This $1,000 award is available annually.

A second $500 scholarship funded through ATHENA event proceeds is awarded each year to a student who completes the Emerging Leaders Program at HCC.
