Brighten up! Master Brightspace:
Take the Brightspace workshop to help you use the learning platform to the fullest. We will provide a basic training and a more advanced workshops. The basic format includes a step-by-step tour through the essential Brightspace functionalities, and covers the setup of several external learning tools such as FeedbackFruits, H5P, and Vevox. Speed up your grading:
During the hands-on workshop Speed Grading, we will delve into practical strategies for both short-term and long-term grading time reductions. As a participant, you will engage in meaningful discussions with colleagues from various departments within the TU. Together, you will explore opportunities and exchange best practices in a small group setting. A learning developer will share insights and tips to enhance your grading efficiency, while also providing the opportunity to refine your course assessment. It starts on 25 April, free of charge. Teaching assistants:
We offer you two courses which you can follow for free, one for assisting with campus courses, and one for assisting with online courses. If you are a TA or working with a TA, this might be interesting for you!
Teaching Assistant Training for Campus Courses:
In this training the TA learns how to: support student motivation and create a safe study environment in which students can thrive; stimulate student learning by asking the right types of questions and giving the right types of answers; give effective feedback to students. The training is free of charge. There are two dates available: 29 April and 9 May, free of charge. Learn more and register here.
Building and Moderating Extension School Courses:
This training is for lecturers and TAs building new online courses or working on re-runs of existing online courses with the Extension School. You will learn about the possibilities and tools of the edX platform for online courses such as MOOCs, and best practices for communicating with your online learners and moderating discussion boards.
